Just life

We don't have anything exciting to post about, but we have just been busy with life. Joslyn started an unofficial preschool with some of her friends in the ward. The moms all take turns teaching it, and Joslyn really has a lot of fun with it. The two other girls that are in the preschool with Joslyn are going to be here for at least the next 3 years, so they will all probably start kindergarten together our last year here.

Dorian has been busy learning new things. He is walking with a walker really well, and he just started climbing the stairs (yikes!). He still doesn't crawl, but he is a very proficient scooter!

A couple weeks ago, Dorian was walking along the couch with a jar of Aquaphor, and he slipped and fell, and knocked one of his teeth loose. We took him to the dentist, and they said that it wasn't going to get better (sometimes they just firm up on their own), and that it needed to come out. So they pulled it out. It was so sad. So he will be missing his tooth until his adult tooth comes in when he is around 6 years old.
We went to look at some snow sculptures at the fairgrounds again this year. It wasn't as good as last year, but I think that's because we went earlier this year. So a lot of the sculptures weren't finished yet.

But this year there was a snow maze that was pretty cool. Joslyn had a lot of fun trying to find her way through.

Here the kids are sitting on the wall of the maze.

Joslyn has really loved playing in the snow this year. We haven't had a lot of snowy days, but the days it did snow there was a lot. So we've had huge piles of snow all around our apartment complex, and all the kids really like them.

Kim has started watching some kids in the ward while their parents are in class. The kids are both really close in age to our kids, so they have a lot of fun together!

  1. make sure you save his baby teeth, I just learned that baby teeth is the best place to get stem cell from if they ever need them in the future!
