Dorian's Birthday

Dorian turned 2 today! I can't believe how fast these two years have gone by! He has gotten so big!
Dorian is a pretty picky eater, and he is very shy. He loves to play with Joslyn, to be silly, and to run around. But most of all, Dorian loves buses. Well, really anything with wheels, but especially buses, Because he is so shy around other people, we decided not have have people over to celebrate his birthday, but just to have a party with just the for of us. We tried to make the day as special as we could. We had his favorite cereal (oatmeal squares) for breakfast. For lunch he picked to have a smoothie and apples and peanut butter, and for dinner we went to Denny's where he chose chocolate chip pancakes!

While Isaac was at school, the kids and I went to the Lil' Explorers at the zoo. They have a lot of activities and crafts for young kids and a story time about some animal at the zoo.

Walking on low beams on the the floor
Feeding the monkey with chopsticks!

And because Dorian loves bugs, we stopped to see the ant farm while we were there.

After dinner we had our family party, with a school bus theme. We had a school bus bowling game, but instead of a ball you had to roll a bus to knock over the pins. Dorian really loved this, a played it for almost half an hour!

Then we played pass the present, when the music stops you try and unwrap the present as fast as you can before the music starts again. And whoever finishes unwrapping it, gets the present!

Dorian got really excited when opened each present. It was really cute every time, but I think this one is my favorite!

And of course we had cake and ice cream! Dorian picked out cotton candy ice cream. And after looking at the cake the kids both decided that they wanted the doughnut wheels instead of real cake.

And just like that, our baby is 2! :'(
